For those of you, who are trying to make a career in the medical field, why not think of the forensic medicine? It is one of the most sought after field in the medical field and has a lot of recognition. It deals with the scientific and analyzing part of the crime investigation and is a job which requires a highly responsible and sensible person to do it.
The forensic science, as mentioned earlier, is something which deals with the crime investigation. This is not to say that you would be taking care of dead bodies for the rest of your life for a career. Neither does it mean that you would have to brush and find fingerprints all the time from various crime scenes because it is not what forensic science is about.
Forensic science has lot of branches. Of course, you can analyze dead bodies if that is what you want to do, but that is not the only thing forensic science deals with. There is the lab section where various things have to be recorded and analyzed. There is an investigation section where you would have to do other investigations than smelling the dead body.
Forensic science mainly deals with biology, chemistry and mathematics. These three are the main subjects you would be trained in. so if you are aiming for this career path then concentrate more on these subjects. You would need to score high in these subjects for the university to accept you. Once you are accepted, you would have to deal with other subjects such as anatomy, psychology, etc.
Forensic science is a part of medical science which has a lot of potential and scope. It is a field which is booming but the thing is, you would need lots of guts to be in it. You may have to face difficult situations and so, if you are ready, you should check it out.
